Youthworks Christian Outdoor Education leads the way in professional Christian outdoor education. About the role

As Customer Care and Program Design Specialist, you will be responsible for building and maintaining existing relationships with Christian Outdoor Education (COE) customers. You will also be overseeing information flow between COE groups and relevant stakeholders to assist the delivery of COE Programs in a professional, helpful and timely manner.

Your responsibilities

  • Manage high-quality customer-centred service that achieves a simple experience for customers and promotes Youthworks in a positive way

  • Manage customer requests through prompt and courteous contact that is compliant with Youthworks practices and policies.

  • Ensure all relevant information is forwarded to internal and external stakeholders as required and in a timely manner

  • Work with those responsible for delivery of on-the-ground service to customer groups to ensure consistency in communication and service delivery

  • Accurately maintain and keep customer records, booking information and visual diary interface with the CRM database

  • Assist in building and maintaining contact lists for relevant purposes including marketing campaigns

  • Identify opportunities to offer information and make product or service suggestions based on a customer’s needs

You will need to demonstrate

  • A passion for customer service

  • Customer service experience

  • Proficiency in using a range of software applications, including Microsoft, Outlook, Excel, Word etc.

  • Well-developed written and verbal communication skills with a focus on providing strong customer service

  • A systematic and focused approach to tasks with strong attention to detail

  • An ability to work with a wide range of team members to achieve effective outcomes

  • Strong work ethos

  • Strong customer focus

  • Good personal presentation

  • Personal Christian faith and willingness to work within an Anglican organisation

Additional information


  • Qualifications in the Outdoor Recreation field

  • Qualifications in Theology

  • Experience in using CRM systems

  • Experience in direct sales

  • Experience with planning and managing small to large scale events

  • Sales, Marketing or Business qualifications

This position is based at the Port Hacking Conference Centres which is without public transport options. Potential candidates should consider commuting options before applying.
